Plant2Food - Food for the future - based on plants

We believe the future of food is green.

Therefore, the Plant2Food project aims to help accelerate the transition to a more plant-based human diet. We want to do this with openness:

  • We fund pre-competitive open reserach collaborations between the food industry and academia
  • All knowledge and results are shared openly for everyone to use and reuse
  • We host events and matchmaking sessions to spur new intersectoral and interdisciplinary collaborations

The 5-year Plant2Food project funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation from 2023-2027. You can read more about the project and our activities on this website. If you have any questions, you are always welcome to contact us.

"Plant2Food will support open, patent-free, and pre-competitive research projects on plant-based food. Our purpose is to provide knowledge that accelerates the development of sustainable technologies and solutions for new nutritious, tasty, and affordable plant-based food products."

Marie Louise Conradsen, Head of Open Innovation in Science at Aarhus University

The Plant2Food network is sponsored by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and founded by companies from the food sector and the partners
