WP1 will ensure that the project progresses.it will optimize the infrastructural setup to support the project, including finances, logistics, information, coordination issues, and conformity to EC rules and procedures.
to gain a better understanding of these farms, their peculiarities and their internal organization through synthesis of available knowledge and data and collection of new data across partner countries.
in Europe to understand the management and performances of organic mixed livestock farms so as to characterize the conditions for their sustainability and robustness.
to accurately monitor some performances and connect them to farmer management (utilization of pastures, weed control, animal behavior, parasite infections and other health problems).
to analyze benefits and drawbacks of livestock diversity in organic farms under different contexts.
Our target groups for stakeholder engagement are agricultural consultants (from farmers’ associations, chambers of agriculture…) and farmers. To maximize the chance of dissemination, we will insist on individual learning stimulated through farm surveys promoting inward-looking, on mutual learning occurring through collective knowledge exchange and simulation during participatory workshops, and on the strong efforts in compiling and disseminating the results to practice.
