Join us at the 6th European Citizen Science Association (ECSA) conference. ECSA 2026 will be hosted by the University of Oulu during the year 2026. Oulu is crowned the European Capital of Culture.
Be part of the most exciting citizen science event in Europe and explore the ECSA conference’s exciting new structure, aimed at encouraging inclusivity and broadening networks. Participate in discussions and collaborate with citizen science practitioners, researchers, activists, scientists, policymakers, artists, and more.
The theme of the 2026 conference is Citizen Science bridging Centre and Periphery. This theme highlights the diversity across regions, from urban metropolitan hubs to remote northern and southern spaces. It explores citizen science’s vital connections to sustainability, culture, history, political and legal systems, resources, public health and more. Read more about the theme.
