JOIN THE COLLABORATION
The Open Discovery Innovation Network is a collaboration platform where industry and academia co-create open research projects relevant for drug discovery and diagnostics. The platform was established by five Danish universities together with a range of international companies within pharma and biotech, and funds the academic portion of joint academic/industrial precompetitive research projects. All companies, hospitals and universities are welcome to join the free platform and participate in research projects.
COMPANIES should join to collaborate with renowned academic researchers in:
› solving concrete industrial challenges
› de-risking wild ideas or answering fundamental questions related to their pipeline
› validating new products, advancing TRLs, or decreasing costs
ACADEMICS should join to:
› propose project ideas within drug discovery and diagnostics
› collaborate with industry in an open, exploratory environment while expanding academic and industrial networks
› strengthen the translational potential of their research
ODIN and its funded projects are supported financially by cascade funding generously provided by the Novo Nordisk Foundation (DKK 180 M) and the Lundbeck Foundation (DKK 14 M).

ABOUT ODIN
We unite bright minds from industry and academia to jointly create need-driven clinical research projects - and pave the way for innovative new treatments and diagnostics. We fund the best project ideas through competitive funding calls. Although companies cannot receive funding, it is free of charge to join.
The platform is sponsored by the Novo Nordisk Foundation with 180 million DKK from 2024-2029.
