Presenter at the Plant2Food kick-off event: Lise Lykke Steffensen, CEO of NordGen

The green transition is top-of-mind for many of us at the moment. In Plant2Food, we focus on the green transition of food: We aim to help speed up the shift to more plant-based foods.
 
That’s also the case for Lise Lykke Steffensen, who is CEO at NordGen.

“We live in a challenging time with climate change, loss of biodiversity and increasing demands for more plant-based.
At the Plant2Food kick-off event, I will discuss the importance of genetic diversity and how genetic resources can provide new possibilities in research and development projects within food and agriculture.
 
That’s why NordGen, among other things, has a strong focus on key stable crops like oats, protein sources like peas and beans, potatoes and crop wild relatives. We are looking into both phenomics and genomics to unlock the potential of large as well as minor species. “
