Presenter af the Plant2Food kick-off event: Knowledge Leader Laurice Pouvreau

At out kick-off event on 30 March, we have lined up a series of pitches from both academic researchers and companies to accelerate the transition from animal-based to plant-based foods. Laurice Pouvreau from Wageningen University and Research will talk about the protein transition and the need for a circular approach for higher value products for the farmers.

We think the future of foods should be greener! But plant-based foods must become both tastier and healthier, if they should become the consumers’ first choice when they are picking up groceries at their local store.

This is the starting point for the pitch by Laurice Pouvreau (Wageningen University and Research) at Plant2Food’s kick-off event on 30 March.

Laurice will talk about the protein transition and the need for a circular approach for higher value products for the farmers. Approaches including breeding as a mean to increase protein extractability from seeds and by-products is crucial to increase the protein extraction yield and more over the quality of these ingredients.
