PACKAGING AND LOGISTICS

Packaging has a major impact on supply chain performance, as it affects all logistics activities in supply chains, from the purchasing of raw materials to the production and sale of finished products, transport and distribution. This section will deal with packaging in a circular economy perspective, as a meansto achieve the reduction of raw material consumption; the promotion of recycling and waste recovery; the promotion of innovation to improve packaging sustainable performance and reduce food losses; and the adoption of a holistic design approach that takes into account both energy and environmental implications.
