PACKAGING REQUIREMENTS FOR REDUCING FOOD LOSSES

Almost one-third of the whole food destined to human consumption is lost or wasted, amounting to 1.3 billion ton per year. Appropriate packaging designs can contribute to reducing food losses throughout the supply chain. This session is  dedicated to research results hat contribute to addressing this global issue and in particular SDG Target 12.3 “calls for halving per capita global food losses and waste by 2030”.
