TRAINING COURSE IN LIFE CYCLE ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY FOR FOOD PACKAGING

Objective of the course:
This training course provides you with an understanding of the Life Cycle Assessment methodology (LCA) and how to apply it to food packaging. During this training, you will acquire competences to understand the relevance of an LCA study to support food packaging sustainability. Specifically, you will be able to assess the potential environmental impacts of food packaging’s,  identify hotspots for packaging optimization (as means of prioritizing action on product sustainability), and to be aware and explore recommendations for improving the sustainability of food packaging.

Also, packaging optimization, including the development of bio-based materials for packaging circular economy, are also topics covered by this school.  

  • Previous experience on LCA is not needed.
