Applications are open for the Niels Bohr Quantum Summer School 2026 (10–21 August) in Odense, hosted by the Centre for Quantum Mathematics at SDU. The two-week programme brings together 70 PhD students with leading researchers and industry experts to explore quantum science, technology, and their societal impacts. AU professor Jaco van de Pol is on the planning committee.

Assoc. Prof. Kristian Hvidtfelt Nielsen leads a new AUFF NOVA–funded project on "Quantum Futures in the Making". The project explores how sociotechnical imaginaries shape quantum technologies and their governance—and hosts the workshop “Building Quantum Futures” at Aarhus University, 8–9 June 2026. Professor Sune Jespersen from the Center of Functionally Integrative Neuroscience (CFIN) at the Department of Clinical Medicine has received a grant of DKK 19.5 million from the Novo Nordisk Foundation to lead a new international research project on the future of MRI.
