Aarhus-based quantum scale-up Kvantify has secured a total of €7 million to accelerate technologies that combine quantum and classical computing for molecular design and drug discovery. ODAQS, a new project led by Jaco van de Pol at Aarhus University, has received DKK 17.4 million from Innovation Fund Denmark. The project brings together Aarhus University, Aalborg University, and Kvantify to develop quantum software for applications in quantum chemistry, drug development, and pharmaceutical research.

Applications are open for the Niels Bohr Quantum Summer School 2026 (10–21 August) in Odense, hosted by the Centre for Quantum Mathematics at SDU. The two-week programme brings together 70 PhD students with leading researchers and industry experts to explore quantum science, technology, and their societal impacts. AU professor Jaco van de Pol is on the planning committee.

Assoc. Prof. Kristian Hvidtfelt Nielsen leads a new AUFF NOVA–funded project on "Quantum Futures in the Making". The project explores how sociotechnical imaginaries shape quantum technologies and their governance—and hosts the workshop “Building Quantum Futures” at Aarhus University, 8–9 June 2026.
