Workshop 8: Developing the Win-win Refinery project application for FACCE SURPLUS

Workshop, Aarhus University, Campus Foulum
Thursday September 15, 2016
Workshop leader:
Uffe Jørgensen

Background

The existing consortium on the project “Green biorefinery development to realize the potential of doubling biomass yield for food, materials and energy and halving environmental impacts of non-water-limited north-west European agricultural systems” will develop the proposal for next SURPLUS call. The consortium includes partners from Finland, Belgium, UK, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, France, and Denmark. Partners from other eligible countries are invited to participate in the discussion and join the project when appropriate.

Topic: Regulatory challenges

Collaboration subjects identified during the workshop

Sustainable intensification (doubling biomass yield and halving environmental impact)

Driven by green biorefinery (focus on small scale protein extraction)

Potential partners and/or competences

More industrial end users are welcome (small scale protein extraction and side streams)

Next step

FACCE Surplus 2nd call
