Workshop 5: Technologies and logistics for green biomass supply chain management

Workshop, Aarhus University, Campus Foulum
Thursday September 15, 2016
Workshop leader:
Thomas Bartzanas

Background

Design and optimization of the supply chain from field to storage and process facility for different dedicated technologies. The supply chain will be adapted to the special conditions for extensive areas and handling of wet biomass and evaluated in terms of performance, energy input, environmental impact, etc. for different scenarios. Also, based on the initial analyses and results, the supply chain from field to storage will be modelled and a specific logistic optimization model will be developed form a systems perspective.

Collaboration subjects identified during the workshop

  • Systems analysis/user requirements
  • Innovative biomass conversion technologies
  • Supply chain management optimization suite

Next step:
