AUSBI Annual Symposium 2026

Welcome to the AUSBI Annual Symposium 2026

Welcome to the AUSBI Annual Symposium 2026

The Annual Symposium for the research network AUSBI will take place Tuesday April 14th, 2026. It is a full-day meeting dedicated to sharing of interdisciplinary science in structural biology and biophysics from the sub-molecular scale to cellular scale and larger, with focus on methods and expertise available to researchers at Aarhus University.

The program will include both external invited speakers, as well as presentations by junior and senior researchers from AUSBI. There will of course also be plenty of time for poster sessions and networking in the program.

We hope it will be yet another wonderful annual symposium, with introduction to science projects outside our own daily work, insights into specific methods and expertise available locally and internationally, and of course great possibilities for networking during the poster session, breaks and lunch, and late-afternoon pizza. All of which hopefully facilitates possibilities for collaborations and easier access to know-how in the AUSBI community.

All researchers and students at Aarhus University, who are interested in structural biology and biophysics, are cordially invited to join.

The registration is open and free of charge!

Poster information

All participants are highly encouraged to bring a research poster.

The poster boards have the dimensions: 190 cm high, and 84 cm wide.
This fits well with A0 poster format (which is 1189mm tall and 841mm wide), but no specific poster size format is requested though.

Poster hanging guidelines:

  • Please hang your poster in the AIAS Hall upon registration in the morning.
  • There will be poster boards available in the AIAS Hall, as well as poster gum and pins.
  • Each poster will get a number. Find your poster number at the poster list available at the registration desk.
  • Please hang your poster at the assigned poster board number matching your poster number.
  • Please take your poster down at the end of the day, preferable after the networking session ending 18:00.

Viewing & presentation of posters:

  • There will be 2 designated poster sessions; one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
  • Poster authors please prepare a 2 min short oral presentation of your poster.
    • In the morning poster session: The poster authors having an even poster number are requested to stand by their poster for the first 30 min, so everyone else can visit and hear the short 2 min presentations.
    • In the afternoon poster session: The poster authors having an odd poster number are requested to stand by their poster for the first 30 min, so everyone else can visit and hear the short 2 min presentations.

Poster prize & voting:

  • All symposium participants are asked to vote for the best poster presentation.
  • Everyone is requested to submit their vote by scanning the QR code available in the AIAS Hall.
  • The most popular poster will be awarded this year's AUSBI poster prize, which will be announced at the end of the program, before the networking session.
