Why? AUSBI would like to support initiatives from junior researchers affiliated AUSBI, which can be of benefit to the community.
What can you apply for? You can apply for financial support to organize events in 2026 and 2027, such as workshops or invited talks that are open to the AUSBI community (to cover general meeting expenses, e.g. catering, travel expenses, communication and announcements). The AUSBI administrative coordinator can assist with practical matters before the event, such as registration link setup, room booking, catering booking, and sharing of the event announcement. All expenses naturally have to comply with AU's rules and regulations. Please note that AUSBI cannot cover catering-associated costs for recurring events.
Who can apply? All junior researchers across faculties and departments at Aarhus University can apply. Please note that principal investigators, who have their own research group, cannot apply.
How much can you apply for? You can apply for up to 1500 DKK for each event. The applicant is welcome to apply for several events.
When to use of the funding? The funding must be used within the calendar years 2026 or 2027. Please specify in your application, which financial year, you wish to have your event.
How to apply? Please submit your application using the application-form (pdf) below. Send the form to karenb@mbg.au.dk
Application deadline and answer?
Applications are received continually, and applicants will be informed of the outcome after the application deadline.
However, in cases where a relevant event is applied for, with the specific wish for the event to take place before the next application deadline (or just after), the steering group will inform the applicant of the outsome as soon as possible.
Applications will be evaluated by the AUSBI Steering Group.
If you have any questions, you are very welcome to contact AUSBI administrative coordinator Karen Bech-Pedersen.
