Sandwiches and light refreshments will be served
Researchers and students at Danish universities can apply for free access to quantum computers via DeiC. To understand local research needs and demands and to promote current and upcoming opportunities and resources, DeiC’s Quantum Department is visiting universities for the second time in the fall of 2025. Overall, DeiC aims to demystify quantum computers and motivate you to use them - they are already here!
Agenda
- What DeiC does and how to get access to quantum computers
- The EU-based LUMI-Q consortium effort for a pan-European environment for quantum computing (incl. possibilities for access through the brand new quantum computer ”VLQ”)
- A fresh quantum computer landscape overview
Questions? Contact Maria Tammelin Gleerup (maria.gleerup@deic.dk)
Who can attend?
The main target group is researchers and students wanting to know more about accessing quantum computers. You will get inspiration on possible applications of quantum computing with real-life use cases across research areas. Everyone is welcome, and so it also serves as an opportunity for all quantum interested actors to get acquainted with DeiCs’ quantum computing offerings, the current quantum computer landscape and the technological development ahead.
Key takeways
- Increased knowledge about the rapid development and why it is crucial to gain an ongoing overview
- Inspirational and easy-to-understand use cases highlighting the benefits and advantages of using quantum computers
- Awareness about DeiCs’ free quantum computing offers and help to get started
- An opportunity to get together with quantum stakeholders for professional networking and sparring
Get help
DeiC offers free expert quantum consulting to everyone to help both new and experienced users get access to quantum computers. Our scientific experts understand your computational needs and can provide support for leveraging quantum computing systems relevant to reaching your research goals. E.g. provide general advice, share technical expertise on porting and optimising applications for quantum computing environments, and offer guidance on software development as needed.
What is Q-Access?
DeiC launched the Q-Access programme in November 2024 for Danish researchers and students to apply for free access to quantum computers for research, development and innovation activities. Danish companies and the public sector can also get access as co-applicants. The initiative is part of Denmark’s National Strategy for Quantum Technology.
