About
The Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA) is Norway's leading institute in water and environmental research. NIVA’s researchers are experts in both freshwater and marine environments ecosystems, including mountains, lakes and rivers, and fjords, coasts and oceans. NIVA develop science-based knowledge and solutions to challenges related to the interaction between water and climate, the environment, nature, people, resources and society.
Main task
NIVA is the coordinator of FutureLakes. In addition to coordinating, NIVA scientists are involved in all of the FutureLakes work packages and are responsible for the demo site at Vansjø.
