The Teacher Education Policy in Europe (TEPE) Conference 2026 invites scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to submit abstracts that critically engage with the conference theme and its four key levers for teacher empowerment:
- Cultivating Resilience
What conditions are needed to empower teachers to build resilience in the face of ongoing educational, social, and environmental uncertainty? - Embracing Digital Innovation
How can the integration of AI and digital technologies support teacher empowerment? - Leading Through Learning
How can professional learning be reimagined as a lever for teacher empowerment and leadership across schools and systems? - Policy and Governance
How can teacher empowerment be embedded within education policy and governance structures across Europe?
Submission Guidelines
We aim to make this conference interactive, featuring a variety of formats. Please state your chosen format when submitting your abstract. If your proposed format is not on the list, please specify
- Abstracts should clearly demonstrate a link to at least one of the four levers above.
- Maximum length: 300 words.
- Include:
- Title of the paper
- Author(s) and affiliation(s)
- Indication of the relevant lever(s)
- Chosen format, e.g. workshop, roundtable, or an alternative format
- Abstracts should present original work and highlight implications for teacher education policy and practice.
