November Monthly Seminar with Nutrition Pillar
🌟 New month, new insights! 🐷 📖 For our November monthly seminar, Nutrition Pillar took the stage. Dr. Yanhong Liu, Nutrition Pillar Research Theme Lead, Associate Professor at University of California, Davis, and Director of UC Davis CLEAR Center, along with her PhD student, Supatirada Wongchanla (Jane), shared research work from Dr. Liu's lab and Jane's pilot study in PIG-PARADIGM .
🔎 Jane's pilot study is one of the initial results from pig experiments in PIG-PARADIGM. Her presentation delved into the critical role of L-glutamate and L-aspartate in enhancing the growth performance and bolstering the immune response of weaned piglets during ETECinfection. The study provided insights into the multifaceted roles of these amino acids, showcasing their significant impact on porcine health and vitality.
👏 This engaging seminar brought together core researchers, Early Career Researchers from different pillars and institutes, as well as members of PIG-PARADIGM advisory boards. Their questions and feedback enriched the discussion after the presentations.
