🐽🔬PIG-PARADIGM students from Yanhong Liu's lab at University of California, Davis, recently attended the 2025 ASAS Midwest Section Meeting in Omaha, Nebraska, where they had the opportunity to present their research and connect with peers in the field.

🏆We’re excited to highlight PhD student Supatirada Wongchanla (Jane), who was awarded the prestigious 2025 Swine Nutrition Heritage Fund Travel Award from the American Society of Animal Science (ASAS). As part of this recognition, she delivered an Award Talk on "Effects of L-glutamate and L-aspartate supplementation on growth performance, diarrhea severity, immune responses, and intestinal barrier integrity of weaned piglets challenged with enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli F18." She also presented a second talk on "Effects of L-glutamate and L-aspartate supplementation on systemic and intestinal metabolite profiles of weaned piglets challenged with F18 ETEC." 🎤🐷

📊💡Another PIG-PARADIGM PhD student from the Liu Lab, Sangwoo Park, also presented his research at the meeting. His talk, "Effects of monoglycerides supplementation in drinking water on growth, diarrhea, and systemic immunity in weaned pigs experimentally infected with enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli F18," contributed valuable insights to the session.

🤝🌍Reflecting on her experience, Jane shared: "This opportunity allowed me to connect with peers, expand my knowledge, and engage in insightful discussions within the monogastric animal nutrition field. I met many researchers with shared interests, fostering meaningful exchanges of ideas and expertise."

👏🌟Great work by Jane and Sangwoo for sharing their research and representing PIG-PARADIGM at the session!
