📆 It's been a busy time for PIG-PARADIGM participants at Department of Animal and Veterinary Sciences, Aarhus University! In the past few weeks, four of our PhD students successfully completed their qualifying exams 👏
In Denmark, the qualifying exam is a mid-term evaluation where students present progress on their PhD projects and share a detailed plan for the second half of their research. Supervisors and external examiners then provide valuable feedback and guidance for the remainder of the PhD journey.

📑 For their qualifying exams, the following students presented their PhD projects:
Antonia Vania Adji: Interaction Between Dietary Fiber and the Gut Mucosa, and Susceptibility to Post-Weaning Enteric Disorders
Maria Høgh Kroier: Protein and Synthetic Amino Acids’ Impact on Gut Microbial Ecology and Gut Health
Niloofar Razmgah: Prebiotics Compared to Non-Digestible Carbohydrates for Improving Piglet Gut Health
Li Hsuan Chen: The Impact of Microbial-Derived Metabolites on Gut Function in Weaned Piglets Under Different Levels of Dietary Protein and a Surplus of Dietary Amino Acids

We’re proud to announce that all students passed their exams and are ready to continue with fresh momentum. Congratulations to everyone involved—well done! 👏🎉
