The SUSFOOD and CORE Organic Joint Call is open for full-proposals submission

In order to address emerging societal challenges, CORE Organic has joined forces with SUSFOOD2 in the transnational Call ‘Towards sustainable and organic food systems’ launched in 2019, focusing on the following research themes:

  1. Resource-efficient, circular and zero-waste food systems
  2. Diversity in food from field to plate
  3. Mild food processing, and
  4. Sustainable and smart packaging.

The network consists of 21 funding bodies from 18 countries/regions, committing around 9.5M EUR.  

A total number of 60 pre-proposals were submitted in the Joint Call of ERA-NET SUSFOOD2 and CORE Organic Cofunds. From these, 43 eligible proposals were evaluated by international peer-review following the criteria and procedure stated in the Call Announcement and Evaluation guidelines. Based on this expert evaluation, the Call Board decided to invite 29 project consortia to submit a full-proposal.
