The 15 years CORE Organic anniversary event took place in Bonn, Germany

On December 10, 2019, the CORE Organic network organised anniversary event celebrating 15 years of joint collaboration and of driving the European transnational organic research forwards. During 15 years of collaboration, under CORE Organic I, CORE Organic II, CORE Organic Plus and CORE Organic Cofund, the funding partners have launched 7 transnational calls with 45 projects funded for around 48M EUR. During the anniversary event, network partners and international guests invited as key note speakers, looked back on the results gained in this partnership, gave input to future challenges, discussed how to further align the national research priorities and how to address the transition from the EC Horizon 2020 to the EC Horizon Europe and. Topics like: Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems, Biodiversity and Climate Change and Innovation and Digitalisation, were covered in an interactive thematic bazaar session followed by a panel discussion about the future of the joint programming initiatives. The CORE Organic ‘Best Research Project’ was awarded and the day was finalised with a festive dinner in the LandesMuseum Bonn.

The CORE Organic network express gratitude to all funders, stakeholder partners, collaborators and researchers who contributed to 15 years of collaboration supporting the European organic research!
