Victor Cartelle

Víctor is an oceanographer currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ), based in Ostend, Belgium.

His research focuses on coastal responses to sea-level change and the evolution of depositional environments under different forcing mechanisms. He has experience in reconstructing past landscapes by integrating high-resolution seismic and sedimentary data, in both estuarine and shelf settings.

Within the SUBNORDICA project, Víctor contributes to the acquisition and interpretation of geophysical and geological data for sea-level and palaeolandscape reconstructions. He is primarily involved in Work Package 1, investigating areas of archaeological interest in the southern North Sea.
