Freek Busschers

Freek is a geologist at TNO - Geological Survey of the Netherland, specialized in stratigraphy, chronology, palaeolandscape development, and subsurface modelling of the Cenozoic North Sea Basin. After completing his PhD in Quaternary Geology at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, he joined TNO in 2008 and has served as Science Lead of the Subsurface Modelling department since 2015. He has contributed to major international research initiatives, including the new IODP3 project on the North Sea, and is actively engaged in the geoscience community through roles in the International Union for Quaternary Research. For SUBNORDICA Freek will mainly be involved in WP1 and WP5.
