Felix is a botanist and Head of the Natural Sciences Department at the Lower Saxony Institute for Historical Coastal Research in Wilhelmshaven, Germany.
Felix is specialized in the analysis of botanical micro- and macroremains (pollen, fruits, seeds, wood, charcoal). His research focuses on the reconstruction of palaeoenvironments and Quaternary biostratigraphy. He is particularly interested in the human impact on landscapes and human plant-use.
Felix will work WP4 of the SUBNORDICA project focused on the Southern Baltic, but his expertise is also available for WP1, 2 and 3. Here, he will contribute to the reconstruction of the changing environments in the course of sea-level rise.
