Many adult ringed seals stay throughout the winter in ice-covered areas and they are very abundant in most coastal zones in the high Arctic. The ringed seal project will attach satellite-linked data-loggers on 20 ringed seals (both young and adults) in order to describe seasonal changes in distribution and dive patterns.
