Her narratological research has focused on Unnatural Narratology, specifically on narrative time, narrative space and narrative voice. She is also the co-editor (with Richard Walsh and Henrik Skov Nielsen) of the forthcoming Narrative Theory and Ideology: Reading New Literatures which is a narratological investigation into the ideological conditions of postcolonial theory.
