Innovation Fund Denmark (formerly the Danish Council for Strategic Research) is investing DKK 23 million in the SunTune project, which will boost the efficiency of solar cells so that much more of the Sun’s energy can be exploited in the future.
SunTune will exploit the long-wavelength light by effectively “tuning” the sunlight spectrum inside the solar cell to better match the range of efficient current generation.
