Please note that this event is only for invited participants.
For invited external participants, up to four nights of accommodation and travel expenses will be covered. Please book your own travel to Aarhus (see further information in the drop-down menu in the right-hand column), and we will reimburse the costs after your stay. To help keep costs down, please book your travel as early as possible. Please note that we can only reimburse economy-class tickets booked directly through the airline or train operator, not through third-party booking or search websites.
As soon as you have booked your flight, please forward your itinerary to Mie Egelund Lind (miege@cas.au.dk), so that the hotel booking can be confirmed.
After the event, you will receive a link to AU’s online travel reimbursement form. It is important that you keep your receipts, as you will need to provide documentation for your travel expenses.
We will book accommodation according to travel itineraries for external participants at:
Scandic The Mayor
Banegårdspladsen 14
8000 Aarhus C
Phone: +45 8732 0100
It is only 110 m from the Aarhus Central Station right next to the famous City Hall by Danish architects Arne Jacobsen and Erik Møller (see map).
We will host an informal welcome event with food on 28 October at the Museum of Ancient Art and social dinners on 29 October and 30 October, and we will of course provide catering throughout the event for those attending.
For sustainability reasons, we will pre-order set menus at the two dinners, and we will only order for people who have signed up.
NOTE: If you have any dietary restrictions (incl. allergies), please let Mie Egelund Lind (miege@cas.au.dk) know, so that the restaurant and caterers can be notified.
Aarhus is a compact city, and most conference venues are within walking distance of the city centre and the hotel Scandic The Mayor. Public transportation consists of buses and trams (Letbanen), which provide easy access to all parts of the city.
We recommend using this Travel Journey Planner ("Rejseplanen") for journey planning and the app he app Rejsebillet for purchasing tickets. Note that tickets must be purchased before boarding city buses and trams.
