The empirical studies will be the first ones to featue the first Open Repository of Network Data, demonstrating the feasibility and usefulness of FAIR and Open approach in network studies. The data for the epirical studies will be collected from open access online databases and prosopographical studies, with a focus on interpersonal networks revealed through Latin (and Greek) inscriptions from the Roman Empire, and professional/political and kinship networks in the large urban environments, such as Rome, Pompeii, Ostia, or Athens. We will look at the evolution of interpersonal networks over several centuries from the level of single sites to the Mediterranean-wide patterns.
For more details on individual empirical studies, return to this page in a couple of months. Exciting research coming shortly!
