Catchment Management Support System (CatchManSS)
CatchManSS is a management support system that was developed in the context of NORDBALT-ECOSAFE, a Horizon Europe project. The system provides:
- Information about selected catchments in the Nordic-Baltic Region and their safe ecological boundaries, as well as the corresponding nutrient reduction needs.
- Information about the baseline setups for the NORDBALT-ECOSAFE catchments, calibration and validation results, and maps of Critical Source Areas within the catchments as identified by SWAT+.
- Guidance on how to implement selected nutrient mitigation measures in SWAT+.
- Model output for different scenarios, which can facilitate discussions with stakeholders about the effectiveness of different nutrient reduction measures.
NORDBALT-ECOSAFE aims to ensure that N and P concentrations and loadings in water bodies in the Nordic-Baltic region are reduced and will remain within safe ecological boundaries. projects.au.dk/nordbalt-ecosafe/about
