12th NORBARAG meeting12th - 13th of March 2020 in Tartu, Estonia. 27/2: Programme updated!

The meeting will cover different aspects of pesticide resistance, especially, in the light of spreading resistance among pathogens, pests and weeds. Discussion will take place in three sub-groups (fungicides, herbicides, and insecticides) and in plenary session.

  • Resistance risk assessment and management

  • Harmonization of the pesticide efficacy evaluation procedures and pesticide label

We ask representatives from research institutes in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden who are involved in pesticide resistance research and pesticide efficacy evaluation and representatives of the agrochemical companies, advisors and state officials operating in the Nordic-Baltic region to attend this meeting. Suggestions for presentations are welcome and can be directed to the respective sub-group leaders or chairman regarding plenary session.

GETTING TO TARTU BY PLAIN

You can also fly to Tartu but there is only one flight every day from Helsinki to Tartu operated by Finnair. The electric bus will transport arriving passengers to the city center. Airport express is free of charge.

GETTING TO TARTU FROM TALLINN AIRPORT

By bus

It is very easy to get to Tartu by bus. From Tallinn Airport it takes approximately 2.5 hours to get to Tartu by bus. Long-distance buses that run along the highway towards Tartu stop just beside the airport entrance. You can find more information on bus lines and stops https://www.tpilet.ee/en/. The airport bus station also has a self-service ticket dispenser where you can buy tickets for buses stopping at the airport on the way to Tartu. The machine accepts card payments. It's better to buy the ticket in the internet (you should choose ticket for journey - Tallinn Airport - Tartu). The bus will stop at Tartu just besides the hotel Dorpat.

By train

From Tallinn Airport it takes approximately 2 hours to get to Tartu by train. The nearest train station Olemiste is in a walking distance from the airport. You can see the timetable and by tickets on the following internet site: elron.ee/en/. You have to use the bus or taxi to get from train station to the hotel in Tartu.

PARKING

Hotel Dorpat has a parking place where parking for overstaying clients is free of charge.
