The coastal zone is exposed to effects of beaching oil spills. This study will provide qualitative and quantitative baseline data on macro-algal communities from localities covering a gradient from north to south in the assessment area in the Greenland Sea as well as recovery potential of an oil impacted coast in North East Greenland.
