On the 4th of December, we were setting sails for our Lupin&SoyFoods project. During the one-day workshop, the outline of the project and the planning for the different work packagers were discussed. It was a great opportunity for all the partners along the value chain to meet, socialise and discuss the details - including not only sprouting rates of soybeans in the fields, but also practicalities like cooking times of the same for the consumers. We are looking forward to the first experiments in 2025!
Lupin is a remarkable crop: it fixes nitrogen from the air, improves soil health, and provides a protein-rich harvest. In this video, we show you the beginning of our lupin season.
On the 26th of September 2025, Linser for Livet hostet our autumn workshop about lupin and soy beans. Farmers, food professionals, and researchers gathered for an inspiring event focused on the different varieties—both the familiar ones and exciting newcomers and how they can make their way into our kitchens. The day highlighted the diversity, great taste, and versatility of lupin and soy beans for cooking and processing. Thank you so much, Mads van Deurs (Lê Trang) and Ditte Tranberg (Linser for Livet) for sharing your knowledge and the delicious samples!
