FACCE SURPLUS scoping workshop in Ghent
FACCE SURPLUS is organising a scoping workshop on May 30 and 31, 2016 in Ghent for funders and experts.
In 2015 the ERA-NET Cofund FACCE SURPLUS implemented a joint call for transnational research projects. 14 projects were selected for funding, and with this first call finished, FACCE SURPLUS is now preparing for further activities. In this context, FACCE SURPLUS will organise a scoping workshop on May 30 and 31, 2016 in Ghent for funders and experts to identify the scopes and instruments of future actions.
FACCE SURPLUS was initiated by FACCE-JPI - The Joint Programming Initiative on Agriculture, Food Security and Climate Change. FACCE-JPI has recently adopted a new Strategic Research Agenda – and in order to further implement this, FACCE-JPI has elaborated a new Implementation Plan to start a set of actions in the period 2016-2018.
In the frame of its recent Implementation Plan, FACCE-JPI identified a priority topic to be addressed by FACCE SURPLUS: "Explore and exploit refinery concepts for the multiple use of biomass under climate change, taking economic and environmental implications into account".
This topic will also be the focus of the scoping workshop, where a concept to address this priority is expected to be developed.
Please note this is a closed meeting and that the attendance is made of FACCE SURPLUS & FACCE-JPI representatives, selected experts, including representatives of related initiatives.
