RESEARCH IN METROLINGUAL CONNECTIONS
Ushma Chauhan Jacobsen, Associate Professor, PhD at Department of English at Aarhus University, will in cooperation with rethinkIMPACTS 2017 conduct a research project, which focusses on Aarhus 2017 as a space of language encounters.
With the project Metrolingual connections: a case study of Aarhus 2017 Ushma Chauhan Jacobsen wishes to examine the ways in which the circulations of different languages enabled by the encounters between diverse local, national, European and international participants of Aarhus 2017 impact the perceptions of Aarhus as both a local and an international city.
The research project covers the period October 2016 to May 2018. In autumn 2016 Ushma Chauhan Jacobsen will in cooperation with rethinkIMPACTS 2017 select and contact 2017-participants, who will be invited to participate in the research project.
