Research in Aarhus 2017: Digital footprints at NorthSide

Anja Bechmann, the research manager of Measuring impact across social media, which is a rethinkIMPACTS 2017 project, has spent 3 days at NorthSide festival, where she has examined the use of social media among festival participants.

Anja Bechmann’s research project seeks to examine the festival participants’ use of social media during the music festival NorthSide.

The research group collected qualitative data at the festival on the participants’ digital footprints on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Measuring impact across social media contributes to rethinkIMAPCTS 2017, as communication through social media is an important part of the cultural experience during Aarhus 2017. Furthermore, the project will deliver data regarding Aarhus 2017’s digital footprints, which will be a part of the analysis of the impacts of the cultural capital.
