Nordic cultural political research

In August Hans-Peter Degn and Louise Ejgod Hansen participated in the Nordic Conference for cultural political research in Bø in Norway. During the conference they gave a presentation on the evaluation of Aarhus 2017 with the title Development of a formative, partnership-based evaluation.

The conference theme was Cultural Politics between the preservation and creativity, which, amongst other things, was thematised by the two keynote speakers Kate Oakley, who spoke about cultural values and inequality, and Magdalena Hillström, who spoke about churches and cultural heritage.

There were great opportunities for exchanging methods and ideas with colleagues from other Nordic countries, which all have a long and strong tradition for applied research and evaluation of cultural politics.
