Aarhus 2017 grants money to Aarhus 2017 Academy

In the middle of June Aarhus 2017 granted money to 44 projects. These projects all relate to the theme rethink and focus on strengthening the long-term development of the cultural sector and the creative industries within the region.

Aarhus 2017 Academy was one of the 44 projects that received money. This project is a cooperation project between VIA University College and Aarhus University.

The objective of the project is to build a European Capital of Culture Aarhus 2017 Academy that, among other things, supports education and the development of competencies.

Aarhus 2017 Academy has the ambition to engage the 70.000 students within the region and the affiliated teachers and researchers, as these persons make up invaluable resources in relation to creating new solutions and a long-term impact of Aarhus 2017.

The project forms the basis of realizing the visions behind rethinkIMPACTS 2017 that not only researchers, but also students should be engaged in Aarhus 2017.

The strategic partnership between Aarhus University and Aarhus 2017 includes not only the research-based evaluation of Aarhus 2017, but also the development of a learning platform developing learning activities and allowing students to engage in Aarhus 2017 in various ways.
