RECARE is an EU-funded project (2013-2018) addressing a range of threats to the quality and function of soils. These include erosion, salinization, compaction, sealing, desertification, floods and landslides, loss of organic matter, contamination and loss of biodiversity. General project information can be found at http://www.recare-project.eu/.
A case study on soil compaction is performed in Denmark. Field experiments have been carried out for investigation of the process of compaction and the effects on soil functions. Stakeholders have been involved in search for solutions to the compaction problem. Information on these activities can be found at http://www.recare-hub.eu/.
