Quantum technologies are increasingly presented as transformative technologies that could reshape computing, communication, sensing, security, and many other areas of society. Decisions about how these technologies are developed, funded, regulated, and used will therefore have consequences that extend far beyond laboratories and industry.
Quantum Futures examines not only the technologies themselves, but also the visions, expectations, and values that guide their development. By bringing researchers, policymakers, stakeholders, and citizens into conversation, the project seeks to foster more inclusive and reflective discussions about the kinds of quantum futures we want to create—and who gets to participate in shaping them.
