Ukrainian Children’s Literature in Focus at the Child & the Book Conference
From May 29 to June 1, Nadiia Pavlyk and Birgitte Beck Pristed participated in the 20th Child & the Book conference hosted by the University of Crete. This year’s conference theme was “Diaspora(s), Exile, Nomads, and Children’s literature.” In their joint panel presentation Nadiia and Birgitte discussed displacement-themed Ukrainian children’s literature. The talk was based on author and editor interviews from the publishing house Teza, collected in the PUBLISH project, together with responses by young people from experimental reading groups in the parallel project DaR:UA.
