We have developed several chitosan-based nano coatings at KTH that are being tested for anti-biofilm properties. The coatings have been loaded with zinc oxide, silver, benzophenone-3, or polyethylene glycol and applied to glass slides. These coatings are currently being tested at both Aarhus University (Zoophysiology) and Nofima in a full scale experiment as a 10-week time series in fresh water systems with salmonid fish. A similar experiment has now been installed at Sashimi Royal with Kingfish in seawater.
