About us

NeAT is an academic network connecting like-minded academics and other researchers with a passion for arthropods and cold habitats. However, while the network is named after arthropods of the “Tundra”, that is really a simplification of the group's interests. Rather, we welcome all with an interest in arthropods in polar or alpine regions, not least because they often share the same harsh conditions. Furthermore, they often share some of the same species. With this in mind, we hope that by connecting people with news, events and opportunities for collaboration that we can advance our knowledge of the distribution and ecology of terrestrial and freshwater species.

We aim to connect members of the group in several ways through the mailing list and website. For example, we aim to post news about upcoming events, projects and opportunities. We also aim to provide a platform for sharing invitations to collaborate on fieldwork or in projects. In addition, we will create a one stop shop for new papers, reports and other news. Therefore, if you have something you want to share, become a member and get access to the mailing list, or send us your info and we'll put it on the website.
