Purchasing LORE1 seeds

Orders are now taken on the Aarhus University webshop. You will need to order the correct number of LORE1 lines per line you wish to claim.

The cost of purchasing LORE1 line seeds is 200€ per line. Note that the price initially quoted in the webshop is with VAT, which most customers will not pay.

How to use the AU Webshop

First, set up a user account to use the webshop. You can do so through the Log In link at the top right-hand corner of the website. It is recommended that you are logged in before you add items to your cart.

If you get lost, you can search for “Lotus japonicus - LORE1 lines” in the search box in the top right.

You can also change the language of the webshop if needed. Click on the globe symbol in the top right-hand corner.

How to order Lotus lines

1. Before you order:

Contact us at Lotus Base with the line(s) of interest. We will check seed stocks and confirm if there are seeds available for purchase. Please do not proceed to step 2 until you hear back from us.

2. Purchase line(s) on webshop:

Log into the AU webshop (see instructions above) before adding the orders into your basket.
If you get lost in the webshop, you can search for “Lotus japonicus - LORE1 lines” in the search box in the top right.
Each line needs its own order of 200 EUR, so if ordering three lines, it will be 600 EUR.
The amount to pay shown in the webshop is including tax, which people from most countries will not have to pay. You will automatically see the actual amount to pay based on your country later in the process.
When ordering, make sure you put the list of LORE1 IDs for the lines you are purchasing in the commentary (#3 in the checkout page)
Make sure the address provided during checkout is the address you want the seeds to be shipped to.

3. Purchase phytosanitary certificate, if needed (see link)

NOTE: We will send seeds only after all steps have been completed.

If you order without completing the necessary documentation/certification, the order will be put on hold until documentation and payment are complete.

Please be aware that it is your responsibility, not Lotus Base's, to check if the phytosanitary certificate and other documentation is needed.

Info on paying

You can pay in two ways: by credit card or by invoice. The process is faster if you pay by credit card. If you choose invoice, you will receive it by email a few days later. When paying the invoice, the bank details are:

When you pay the invoice amount, remember to list your CUSTOMER NO. + INVOICE NUMBER in the text field regarding the payment.

Lines are sent as is, with no guarantee of presence of insertion sites, shipment success, and/or germination success.

Users are responsible for obtaining an import permit from their country if it is required by their country's import rules. Additionally, they are responsible for ordering and paying for a phytosanitary certificate (ordered from us, see link above), if it is needed in your country.

AU takes no responsibility for seeds that are lost or destroyed under delivery or in customs due to incorrect permits.
