IGEM competition


AUNAB is gathering a team of student to represent Aarhus University at the iGEM competition 2026. 

If you are interested in joining the team, please register via the link to the right. 

Registration deadline is November 1st 2025
The iGEM coodiantors at AU will choose the final team participants before December 1st. 

Who should join?

Interested students from all educational backgrounds are encouraged to apply. While iGEM is a synthetic biology competition, building a successful project requires a diverse team with diverse skills including fields such as science, engineering, health, ethics, and business.

We are primarily seeking 5th-semester BSc and 1st-semester MSc students, as participating in the competition aligns ideally with the timing of a bachelor’s or master’s project. But any interested and motivated student on any semester is welcome to register!

  • 5 ECTS credits for their summer laboratory work
