Tusind år i landskabet omkring Esrum Kloster

New book by Emmy Laura Pérez Fjalland

A new book by Emmy Laura Pérez Fjalland explores nearly a thousand years of history in the landscape around Esrum Kloster & Møllegård. Using the idea of the landscape as a “living archive,” the book shows how human activity, nature, and culture have shaped the area over centuries.

Esrum Kloster, founded in the 1150s, has served as a monastery, royal estate, and cultural site. The book combines historical research with observations of the present-day landscape, highlighting the traces left by past generations and the ongoing relationship between people and place.
