Water is a precious resource and it is often scarce in the right quality.
The research center for advanced water purification works on the purification of drinking water, storm water and waste water with a current focus on organic micro-pollutants and energy minimized processes. The center combines basic research with applied and environmental studies.
Currently projects are ongoing on using biogenic nanomaterials, advanced soil filters, rhizome-microbe-pollutant interaction for purifying water.
The center started in 2012 and is consisting of the five key scientists as well as 4 PhD students and one postdoc.
