NORDPLUS AND NORDLYS GRANTS

Aarhus University applies every year for grants for exchange studies trough Nordplus. The grants are distributed to AU students, who apply to study as an exchange student at one of Aarhus University partner institutions within the Nordplus Program. 

If you are nominated to a grant within the Nordplus Programme or the Nordlys Programme, you are automatically a candidate to a Nordplus grant or a Nordlys grant. For that reason you do not apply for the grant.

The grant consists of around 150 euro pr. month. Due to variations is number of students, who apply there is no guarantee a grant is available.

Erasmus Study Exchange

Aarhus University applies every year for grants for exchange studies trough the Erasmus Programme. Erasmus grants are distributed to students, who apply to study as an exchange student at one of Aarhus University’ partner institutions within the Erasmus Programme.

If you are nominated to a grant within the Erasmus Programme, you are automatically a candidate to an Erasmus grants. For that reason you do not apply for the grant.

It is the International Center at Aarhus University, who distribute the Erasmus grants to all students from Aarhus University travelling abroad as an Erasmus student.

The level of the grant differs from year to year, depending on how much financial support AU are granted from EU. The grant is around 200-250 Euro pr. month during the exchange study.

Faculty grant

AU Students can also apply for faculty grant. The requirements for the faculty grant are as follow:

  • Only stays of minimum three month and minimum 5 ECTS credits pr. month can be supported. 
  • The grant covers extra costs in relation to a study abroad stay. Expenses must be documented and if the costs are covered by other grants, the student might have to repay the faculty grant.

All student receive a financial support of 1000 DKK to cover travel expense – independent of travel destination. In addition there is a financial support for living costs on 1250 DKK pr. month pr. 5 ECTS credits. It is not possible to receive financial support for more than 5 ECTS pr. month.
